Community Bank - Exciting Opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer We are very pleased to announce that an outstanding career opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is available with our client, Five Rivers Bank (in organization), a De Novo Community Bank in Paramus, New Jersey. Working alongside the CEO, the selected candidate for this "C-Suite" role will have the unique opportunity to help build a community bank from the ground up. Summary of the CFO's Responsibilities The CFO for Five Rivers Bank will be responsible for strategic leadership in managing the accounting, cash management, financial reporting and planning, and capital funding functions for the Bank. The CFO will ensure that these functions are conducted safely and soundly to meet the Bank's growth objectives. In addition, the CFO will: Oversee the operations area of the Bank, including the Asset/Liability of the Bank. Supervise the Information Technology (IT) department. Be responsible for all financial reporting, including but not limited to bank regulatory reporting and internal reports for the Board of Directors. Required Knowledge and Experience for the CFO You must have recent experience as a Controller or CFO with a community bank for this role. You must have the requisite experience and capabilities to serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and to the Board of Directors. You must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. An advanced degree, such as a master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, is strongly preferred. A CPA or other professional certification is also strongly preferred. You should have at least 10 years of progressive experience in a CFO or Controller position of a high-performing community bank, with at least five years at the Senior Management level. You must have a proven track record in the effective management of Finance/Accounting on a day-to-day basis. You must demonstrate the ability to influence and build consensus among cross-functional areas to promote a spirit of teamwork and collaboration.
