Our client, a Financial Services company, is looking to bring on a Business Data Analyst to be based between NYC and Jersey City, NJ. This position is on a HYBRID basis and will be split between NYC and Jersey City, NJ. The contract duration is 6 months with possible extension. *W2 and Local only.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This person must have a financial industry background. This role will be very heavy on data analysis, cleanup, etc. this is a very big strategic project for the bank so this person will need to have a strong analytical background and the ability to think and do more than just check boxes. Be able to assess and identify trends within the data.

This role is volume based to help with current initiative supporting Issuer Services. This space provides trustee and corporate lending services to customers. This person will have chunks of work to be completed by certain timelines and will need to be able to work under tight timelines, and there will be ups and downs in volumes.

This will be a small team supporting a larger project team globally. Direction will come from manager and some from head of the business. This person needs to be a self-starter and have the ability to have self-direction. The team can have daily standups during critical times, but in steady state the resource will need to be able to drive deliverables.

TOP must-have skills (Measurable skills, technologies, etc.)

Experience in advanced Business analysis requirements gathering and design techniques; the ability to produce structured BRDs, finalize User Story, and write functional specifications.
Proven delivery experience working in a global project environment with different methodologies (including Agile/Waterfall)
Experience working in a global/ investment banking change environment.
Ability to advise stakeholders regarding process improvement initiatives. Ability to present complex solutions in clear and concise language.
Strong aptitude with Data Analysis and Interpretation skills - the ability to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, using multiple analysis techniques, reconcile variances and recommend proposals to senior and key stakeholders.
