The Sports Performance Coach is responsible for the development,
and implementation of sports performance training programs for
individual or group athletes (i.e.: youth, junior high school, high
school, collegiate, adult, and elite).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be physically capable of the potentially strenuous activities
typical of someone engaged in leading a Sports Performance
programs. Must be able to effectively listen and communicate with
people in-person, via email, over the telephone or via virtual
Zoom/ Microsoft Teams conference calls. Must be capable of using a
computer keyboard. Must be able to stand for long periods of
time.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Physiology, Kinesiology,
Health and Physical Education, Biology, Athletic Training and/or a
closely related field -required. - National Strength and
Conditioning Association - Certified Strength & Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS) or American College of Sports Medicine Health
Fitness Specialist Certification (HFS) or National Academy of
Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES)
-preferred. BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (CPR and
AED) Program -required.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Internship with recognized sports performance and/or fitness
program required. One -to two -years of -experience as a
professional training sports performance athletes and fitness
clientele preferred.Must have a valid driver's license and be able
to drive without restriction.
