Job Description:
The Role:The Vice President of Commercial, Retail Planning, &
Events will be responsible for driving the growth of the Charlotte
Tilbury Brand. This role involves leading a team, managing
relationships, and overseeing commercial strategies and events.Key
Responsibilities:
- Drive profitable and sustainable growth to the business,
managing over 2,400 points of distribution in the US and
Canada.
- Lead a team of 18 National account, retail planning and event
professionals. Provide strong leadership and support their
development through coaching and communication.
- Build accurate Retail and Net sales forecasts and the
commercial strategy to deliver them. Identify risks and
opportunities, offering solutions to address any gaps.
- Create and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key
retail partners such as Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, and more.
- Work in partnership with Marketing, Finance, Creative, Field,
and Supply Chain to ensure a cohesive brand experience and
excellent execution.
- Oversee the strategy for all wholesale events, enhancing
customer experience through educational and entertaining
events.Trading Relationships:
- Establish and maintain Retailer relationships at all levels
within the US and Canada teams, including Buying/Trading,
Merchandising, and Marketing.
- Conduct commercial negotiations on space and location, in-store
visibility, and digital support with Buying and Merchandising
teams.Driving Performance (Retail, Net and Profit):
- Understand retail context, category, and individual store
performance to identify retail opportunities and strategic
needs.
- Build and deliver against a retail sales target, with the
engagement and alignment of cross-functional partners.
- Deliver plans to maintain and drive #1 ranking across the
estate.
- Retain agility to react to retail trends and maximize
opportunities across channels.
- Monitor, manage, and optimize net sales performance.
- Ensure accurate forecasting for NPD and core lines, and
proactive inventory and assortment management, with close
collaboration with Marketing, Demand Planning and Supply
Chain.
- Identify opportunities to sell in additional revenue and
mitigate return liabilities.
- Build retail/net sales forecasts, meeting all financial
deadlines and budget submissions, flagging risks and opportunities
in a timely and quantified manner.
- Manage each account P&L, balancing investment with top-line
opportunity; monitor retailer profit contribution and achieve
agreed profit.Cross-Functional Working:
- Build strong working relationships with Sell-thru team,
utilizing insight from the field and engaging the team in the
execution of the trading plans.
- Work closely with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, PR, and
Store Design to create and deliver an annual plan for each retailer
covering: activation of key launches and marketing moments,
eventing, store/retailer animation, considering both customer
acquisition and retention. Review implementation and performance of
annual strategy vs expectations on a regular and appropriately
frequent basis.
- Responsible for reviewing product assortment & sales to
maximize counter productivity in partnership with trade
marketing.
- Work with visual merchandising to ensure all updates are
executed in a timely manner and communicated to merchant team for
retailer approval.
- For new and existing distribution, build a bespoke plan to
launch and sustain #1 ranking.
- Align trading plans with local and global teams to ensure a
consistent and phased plan across all retailers within the region.
Develop financial plans, manage inventory, and conduct business
analysis with the goal of maximizing profit while managing healthy
inventory turns. This role will be responsible to analyze and
identify sales opportunities within all accounts, as well as
monitor and mitigate risk to achieve retail and net sales
plan.Reporting Relationships:
- Reporting to SVP - Sales, Education and Pro Artistry.Minimum
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience within Beauty.
- Advanced Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint skills.
- Leadership: 5+ years of experience coaching & leading a team,
including management of managers.
- Business Acumen: Experience formulating a commercial strategy
unique to multiple retailers. Large volume, multi-retailer
experience is strongly preferred. Ability to articulate and
communicate data across retailers.
- Communication & Partnership: Experience building rapport
quickly to establish genuine relationships. Ability to effectively
engage with a variety of internal and external teams to collaborate
on broad business goals.
- Results Oriented: Proven experience anticipating risk and
proactively considering solutions to drive results. Comfortability
navigating ambiguity.Base Salary Range: $255,000-275,000**Benefits:
