Job Description:

Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a long-term temp Business Continuity Manager (BCM) to cover a parental leave. This role starts ASAP with a contact through mid-late August. Hours are 9:30am-5:30pm (+ limited OT as things come up). This role is a hybrid schedule - 3 days/week onsite; 2 days/week remote. Hourly pay rate is $100-150/hr DOE.

Role and responsibilities
Risk Mitigation: The BCM Manager (Americas) will significantly reduce the likelihood and impact of business disruptions.
Operational Resilience: Ensuring that critical functions continue during crises.
Regulatory Compliance: Meeting industry standards and avoiding potential penalties.
Cost Savings: Preventing disruptions and minimizing downtime.
Enhanced Reputation: Protecting our brand and maintaining customer trust.




Key requirements
Manage the business continuity management program across the Americas.
Identify risks to the firm's Americas operations and identify solutions to mitigate and introduce resilience.
Conduct business impact analyses as a basis for BCM; identify recovery requirements, interdependencies within the firm and dependencies on external agencies.
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and plans to support BCM and protect stakeholder interests.
Drive a comprehensive and an increasingly more rigorous exercise schedule, working with the BCM Lead in London, to prove the capability of plans.
Maintain a close relationship with the IT department to confirm the resilience of the IT environment.
Identify critical third-party suppliers and conduct risk assessments.
With guidance from the BCM Lead, develop and implement a program of education and training for staff, generally, across the Americas.
Support the local Americas offices with their BCM and resilience needs.
Perform other responsibilities as be assigned from time to time.
