Job DescriptionWe are looking for a passionate and skilled
Associate Director of Automation to join our team. In this vital
role, you will lead a group of automation engineers to ensure our
manufacturing and utility processes run smoothly around the clock.
You will drive continuous improvements, manage projects, and ensure
compliance with regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team
Management
- Mentor and lead a team of automation engineers, promoting a
culture of excellence and growth.
- Develop team skills to provide effective 24/7 support.
- Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive
feedback.Operational Support
- Oversee automation support for manufacturing operations and
utility systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal
downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to quickly resolve
automation issues.Continuous Improvement & Project Management
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance
efficiency.
- Manage automation-related projects, ensuring they are completed
on time and within budget.Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Ensure automation systems meet regulatory requirements and
internal standards.
- Prepare for audits, ensuring all documentation is ready.Life
Cycle Management
- Oversee the life cycle of automation systems, including
upgrades and maintenance.
- Develop strategies for sustainable management of automation
assets.Budget Control
- Manage the budget for the automation team, ensuring effective
resource allocation.
- Provide regular budget updates and forecasts to the Director of
Digital Manufacturing Operations and finance teams.Collaboration &
Communication
- Work with Manufacturing Value Teams and counterparts at other
sites to share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to
ensure transparency and collaboration.Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a
related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- At least 7 years in automation within a manufacturing
environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing complex automation projects in a
24/7 operational setting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of automation technologies and best
practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking
abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective
collaboration.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial
