Job Description:
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive
Science of the Mount Sinai Heath System (MSHS) is seeking a
Urogynecologist. We are seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible
Physicians in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine
and Reconstructive Surgery who can provide consistent,
compassionate, high-quality, safe and patient-centric care,
personalized to each and every patient. The successful candidate
will possess clinical abilities as demonstrated through training,
education, certification and experience, strong interpersonal
communication, leadership and organizational skills, embrace the
teaching mission of the MSHS and qualify for an academic
appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The
candidate must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State
Medical License.As a member of the of the MSHS and the Icahn School
of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we are able to offer the professional
benefits of a major academic/research medical center. With over
6,000 deliveries per year, the Department supports 24 residents in
a four year residency program and an active teaching program for
third-year medical students from the Icahn School of Medicine at
Mount Sinai. All OB/Gyn sub-specialties are represented in the
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive
Science.Position Description:1. Teach medical students and
residents by lecture, rounds, and clinical activity in the office
and operating room2. Provide Urogynocology care, including
ambulatory care and surgery in the hospital3. General
administration duties that include documenting and reviewing
patient chart4. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and
related administrative activities. Responsible for academic
advising and related activities.5. Significant involvement in the
training of Urogynecology fellows and research. The department has
8 residents per year, 32 total6. Collaborate with colleagues as an

Position Qualifications:1. Medical Degree from an accredited
program2. New York Medical License/Active NYS DEA3. Board
Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female
Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery4. Successfully
completion of a Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
fellowship5. Excellent communication, bedside manner, and
organizational skills6. A strong work ethic and desire to
participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven environment7.
