Permanent Child Psychiatry Job - New York CityJackson + Coker is seeking a dedicated and experienced Youth Psychiatry Director for an exciting Permanent opportunity in New York City. This role offers a balance of clinical work and leadership in child and adolescent psychiatry.Position Overview:This position focuses on providing youth psychiatric care in a traditional clinical role for 80% of the time. The remaining 20% involves supervisory and managerial responsibilities, supporting psychiatric providers, therapists, and program directors working with high-risk youth.Key Responsibilities: Direct clinical care for youth, focusing on mental health challenges including legal system involvement, substance use, self-harm, and trauma. Supervision and leadership over Youth ACT Teams, Residential Treatment Programs, and Youth Community Residences. Participate in monthly supervision sessions and high-risk incident review committees. Collaborate with the agency s central Psychiatric Services team on chart reviews, policy development, and youth psychiatric research. Provide temporary coverage for clinical programs with psychiatric provider vacancies.Qualifications: Active DEA and New York State License as a psychiatrist. Board Certified or Board Eligible in child psychiatry. Demonstrated experience with youth psychiatric care across a wide range of diagnoses. Comfort supervising newly graduated NPPs, some of whom have limited experience with youth. Travel required to sites across New York City's five boroughs.
