We are looking for an aspiring finance professional to join our team at The Grid Shared Services. If you are a detail orientated individual with a passion for accounting, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have 1- 2 years of marketing or agency experience, then this position is for you!
Reporting to the Associate Client Finance Director, the Biller/Client Finance Analyst's role is to ensure the proper and accurate preparation and transmittal of client invoices in accordance with our client's revenue, production budgets, estimates and cash flow.
They must build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Account Service team and work as a liaison to assist them with client financial requirements including internal control procedures and policies, as well as compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards. A key responsibility will be the knowledge of all client contracts and the interpretation of its financial terms to ensure maximum financial benefit to the agency.
Responsibilities:
Billing--- Prepare and send out client invoices, track responses and ensure proper payment application--- Work with the account teams to ensure the proper classification of fees and expenses--- Analyze the client contract and bill according to client terms and requirements--- Attend monthly meetings with the account teams to ensure WIP and Out of Pockets are billed or accrued on a timely basis--- Lead and document monthly billing meetings with Account Service and Project Managers to review all active client projects.
Accounts Receivable--- Assist, as appropriate, with client AR follow up
Job Management--- Ensure all projects are set up according to client requirements--- Work with Project Managers to reconcile the job upon completed and notify Clients regarding the job status (i.e. reconciled within 60 days from date of completion).--- Ensure compliance with all internal control processes and all project related documentation is appropriately archived for audit in a timely manner.
Compliance--- Timely revenue recognition under IFRS and GAAP guidelines
Reporting--- Client Profitability Analysis--- Ad hoc client financial reporting and analysis--- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Controller.
Skills and Traits--- Keen analytical instincts and drive for answers and results--- Sound knowledge of accounting principles--- Excellent proficiency in Excel, Pivot Table experience is a must--- Strong self-discipline and ability to prioritize tasks.--- Highly organized and ability to adapt and manage multiple projects while meeting both fixed and moving deadlines--- 2+ years relevant working experience
